So its finally time for Bodywork and Paint!

Finished car pics are here ...https://www.thegalantcenter.org/show...880#post446880

Ok im just going to keep posting pics of the progress. I started working on it a few days ago and so far the car is almost totally stripped to the point where I can begin fitting the JDM parts and making the needed changes and then the whole car will have every panel completely repaired before a seal coat, primer, a ton of wetsanding and finally the new color. I already tack welded the "pockets" for the JDM sidemarkers, this week I will finish welding them and grinding it all smooth. The fenders and hood were replaced because there were a good amounts of little dings and stuff in them and rather than trying to chase down every ding and filling up the front with bondo, I opted to just replace the parts. I also replaced the passenger rear door for this same reason because it had a huge dent.

it all depends on how long I take. Im doing a majority of the work myself. Tomorrow I need to finish gutting the passenger side doors. Then monday im test fitting all the parts JDM rear bumper, extensions and side skirts. Once I get them to fit to my liking I gotta pull them and get them ready for the body work. The rear bumper and sides need very very little body work, but the front bumper is a little rough, plus im shaving the license plate pocket and relocating the plate to the corner (like the EVO). I think I have about 1-2 weeks worth of body work before primer and paint, then another 1 week to re-assemble everything. So being safe, roughly 1 month and it will be done.

    LOL

Whats funny is this time last year, I was talking about getting a FG JDM bumper, FG fenders and hood, molding it all into one piece and then wrapping it in CF. Then I realized if I ever got into a minor fender bended I would be effed and have to redo the whole damn thing.

Ok so I got more work done today, nothing big as right in the middle of working my boy got a call to do a tow. so I went with him, im making another thread with the accident pics as they are pretty cool. here are the pics from today. I finally got my headlights/grille to fit really good. Tomorrow im gonna trim the bumper a little more, in the lower "vents" its still rubbing the intercooler pipes a little.
