not my galant its my girls she got a 96 it needs a egr valave is ther any way to by pass it so it dont run sh@@y just to i get the new one :smt100

I dunno about the 7Gb's but it may throw a CEL if removed on the 96. The EGR blockoff plates for DSM's fit our EGR. Dunno what state you're in, but be cautious of emissions testing before removing this.

you can take it off and clean it, and thats about all you can do.

Ive tried almost everything to make it work w/o EGR, but it has always thrown a code.

not wored about a code i just want to get rid of the rugh idle

you could get rough idle if the egr is stuck open, but you should check the vacuum lines and throttle body. No Egr will give you some pre-detonation, cuz the combustion temperature will increase. I had the egr block off plate for a few months, but I put the valve back in. So, your best bet would be to clean it up
