Post a How To maybe??? with lost of details?
Well i been doing this to my wifes car on the low tip and what not and now it is finished. I havent taken many pics due to the amount of time i spent on this swap it was a rush job(trying to beat the cold winter weather).
I am using a full 3G setup, clutch, flywheel, etc.... ANyways here are the pics of my work.
after just finishing a 7G swap the 8G swap took me about 2 days to do and about a week to do the finishing touches and test drive. Not sure what to do with the 7G now but i will keep you guys updated

i saw but i thought there was more to it than that??
really isn't. Took Roman, a few hours to do it. the hard part is getting all the small parts for the cables, connections, etc.

Oh ok thats easy what about running clutch fluid line and the master cylinder?
get the SS clutch line and adapters from Summit racing, stock master cylinder from the donor car should be ok. I'm using a replacement OEM master cylinder.

so its basically run the line and bolt up, also is there any electrical to deal with like reverse ligghts??
Gotta get the reverse solenoid from the donor car.
Since i'm an 02, i have to rewire my speed sensor too.
Clutch: gotta drill through your firewall to setup the holes for the master cylinder and clutch pedal.

just follow the tutorial man and you will be fine.
Make sure you have the correct parts and tools before you start.
And at least 2 or 3 cans of PB blaster.

i had a set left over from another 7G swap i was doing. The auto trans was gonna get junked so i too it apart. I noticed the diff has the same bolts as the flywheel but a lil longer.
I spent a total of about 700 on my swap.

Most of it is pretty much bolt-on it's really not that hard at all it's just a lot of things at once.
IMO, the hardest part was taking the shifter cables out and getting the trans onto the motor if you are doing it from the bottom and keeping the motor in the car. Again though, it's only hard becuase it takes a long time to get it right in that sweet spot where you can slide the bellhousing over the flywheel and clutch and got the input shaft onto the disc. I had a little bit of a hard time getting the input shaft in because the disc wasnt dead center but after a little bit of time, eventually it slid right in. Thank god for those dowel pins!
dowel pins, sorry for the stupid question but what are these??
Theyre like small cylinder shaped things that stick out of the block so you can line the transmission up right. Without these, I dont think I wouldve been able to mate the trans and the motor together.
