Unless you have a bottomless pocketbook you can't afford to do the VR4 swap. Even still at that point you might as well just get a 9G Galant, swap in an Endeavor drivetrain and make a custom rear driveshaft and you could have the closest legal US equivalent in the 9G.

But for the 8G its not worth it, you may as well just spend the $20,000 to import one from Japan and keep your other Galant as a daily driver.

if you dont have money, then dont consider modding unless you can afford the repairs if it goes wrong.

there isn't a V4. you probably are referring to the i4 or V6 engine. If you post the way you talk in real life, you got other issues to think about before listening to your friend.
