Been a while, some more updated pics.

    Can you tell it's a chick's car?

Cause I HATE the walnut, had centre console painted black with red pearl. Oh and new dvd unit/Pioneer head unit cause my blue one crapped out lol.

The VR4 and my partner's Accord Euro wagon side by side.

    18s on it now.

Next step is it has a rear bumper to fit in with the kit more nicely, and it'll be resprayed straight black, rather than the black with green pearl it is now.

    Club VR4 meet :)

It's very rarely driven at the moment, thanks to this little beauty. My partner got sick of me complaining about gas, so he brought this for my runabout.

97 Mirage Asti ZR, 150k kms on the clock, 1.6l manual MIVEC, factory recaro seats/momo steering wheel. Lowered pre-import.

Not too many of these around in NZ :)

    Day we brought it home.

    17's on

Wait, they had MIVEC back in '97? Damn, USDM don't never get the hotness.
    Double negative? I don't care.

I agree that the JDM front is better, but its your car. i guess you guys are looking for some different than what usually can be seen on the street. Thats why we like the JDM things here.

I like the sub box and amp bracket installation, Very clean
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

Yeah, I tend to forget that our stock is a rarity and novelty for you guys!

Besides, my stock bumper was broken. I chose aftermarket rather than going cheap and picking up a stock bumper for like NZ$50 (US$30ish?) from pick a part lol

Legnum's being stripped to be painted, stay tuned!

Added boost tap and controller, gone from stock 6/7 psi to 11/12 psi.

    Next engine rebuild.

Just brought one which has been in a crash, so the tein adjusties and the Apexi BOV going into the leggie, and that is the motor we're going to rebuild.

Managed to get that one for NZ$1500 includes towing to our place.

So, car's at the painters atm, yay! We're building the engine to be running two x td05 turbos, being the first in NZ with that build, and as far as I know, only one has done it in the world and one's trying to build on the cheap (we'll see how that one goes). The one who has built built them mounted sideways...we want to mount them how they're meant to go! We have the manual conversion to shove in as well waiting for car to return. Car's being painted black with pink pearl.

    Tein adjusties in

    2 x new td05 turbos

    New AM radiator

    Few pics from engine rebuild

3 weeks later from Japan we have mains bottom end and thrust bearings

    Mock up of belts etc

These Recaros will be going in too.

Cat gives ok that they're comfortable

Thanks, if you're going to do something different, might as well do it properly. Already spent $3k on engine, and with custom manifolds, acid dipping etc etc, probably going to cost us between $10-15k on engine alone. But not looking to sell at all.
