the reason i would get an eq would be to control ur sub which will sound better than if u just hook it up straight to the head unit i would also replace ur rear speakers to sound a lil better just make sure u hook up ur high level to the 2 rear lines unless its a 4 channel

just buy the cheap pioneer with detatchable face and some decent rca's and call it a day but with 1kicker comp it may not change too much maaaby a lil bit cleaner bass insted of your sub acting like a giant mid range speaker

eazy e is dead forget about em eanna go cheap get a pioneer with a sub preout and yr set

i paid 40 open box and sounds really good
