make sure you get an ar-15 that has full rails! fuck that permanently attached carrying handle on the top. Get rails up there and 4-sided rails at the handgrips!
Eh, dont get a 6.8 SPC. I'd highly recommend a 6.5 grendel upper build...

Like this? -> http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/prod...ucts_id=103565 "6.5 Grendel provides an extreme range capability for hunting, competition and tactical applications at ranges way beyond those previously achievable with this class of weapon. The 6.5 Grendel has the flexibility to move from lightweight varmint bullets in the 90 grain class, which offer superb accuracy for competition and small game shooting, to mid weight 108/120 grain competition bullets and then on to 130 and 140 grain bullets, ideal for longer range, tactical shooting." Heres a piece on the 6.8-> http://www.defensereview.com/modules...rticle&sid=383

My favorite one there is that 1911. I'm looking to get one, an original from WWII. We'll see.

Ouch, bad move my friend. I would kick myself in the nuts. Those go for over $3000 in good condition, I believe.

Yeah, the 1911 is very nice, although original colts are nice...they hold nothing to this. Accurate, reliable, balanced...all my weapons are tools, not safe queens. If they fall in the mud, good for them.

I shouldn't be heading back over for a little bit... I just got back in March, then left active duty and went guard and they just got back from Iraq.

I had considered the Blackwater/Dynacorp/Triple Canopy route, but decided against it, as nice as the $ would have been! And now, with all the new laws in place I'm glad I didnt!

Yeah, I'm more of an engineer now, but still have to keep safe, especially in KSA and Yemen...shitty places to visit. I was just out in KSA visiting Vinell Arabia for a while...interesting place in Riyadh. I'm happy to have a relatively safe job, and out of operations for the near future.

Figure I'll take up trap shooting with the Sheikhs in the UAE
