    yeah its just dusty and dirty in general, not considering any dust storms that come through. it'll get in all the little cracks and crevaces and just sticks to the CLP so gotta clean em often.

    No, it's a lubricant still, but it's a different process...perfect for the desert...it impregnates the metal I think, and doesnt attract as much dust. Basically you field strip, clean, and then fire a magazine through the weapon, it'll bond and lube it up. Standing in the sun would work too, often heating our weapons up well...

    I believe there is an NSN for it...check it out...should be available as an alternative to CLP.

    hmmm yeah ill have to look that stuff up. i really liked that silicone powder or something like that. It seemed to work well, but for some reason they didn't let us use it. But it was not liquid at all, therefore it didnt gunk up at all.
