    00+ Diamante TB/Cyclone IM

    Here is something I'm currectly working on...



    I know it's not pretty. Using a dremel to merge the short and long runners while increasing the size of the plenum.

    Looking good. Whats the purpose of that valve and the entire machanism on the right side?
    Is that for the cruise control or choke? Ive seen that valve on v6 8g galants but have no idea what it does.
    God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

    It is the cruise control, I haven't had the chance to remove it yet.

    i actually think thats the traction control.

    actually pretty positive that it is after looking at my dad's engine bay.

    Does it bolt up?
    if so... I'm doing it next weekend.

    i don't mind porting the manifold to match the gasket.

    I don't even care about the iac compadability since i don't have an iac or fiav anyways.
    deleted those a looooooong time ago.

    It's one or the other but it is coming off. LOL.

    It will bolt up(take a look at the first pic) but I will need an adapter/spacer for the TB to flow as evenly as possible to the IM, since the TB is 70mm @ inlet/outlet but 65mm @ the blade. I'll probably make the adapter from grade xx garolite.

    deleted those a looooooong time ago.

    The cyclone don't have enough meat around the flange to be gasket match for the Diamante TB. Maybe the 1G IM have enough metal to work with.

    LOL. In due time. Well, I'm about four hours away from my car(it is in storage) and I forgot to snap some pictures of it when I was down there two weeks ago. I won't swap the cyclone IM/diamante TB setup until I get the RVR ecu eprom issue work out. But the last photos I have of the exterior of the car before I had it tow to the shop for the head swap.

    Remove the cruise control and fiav. Just need to order a blockoff plate and JMF flange/spacer. Will post pictures tonight.

    Thanks. It's coming together, I'm coming close to closing on a home so this thing maybe push back soon weeks/months. But once I'm finish, this will be some type of write-up/how-to. But honestly, if I'm strap for cash I might sell it along with the socketed RVR ECU.

    Update: Getting a flange made to be weld on the cyclone plenum, and finish the merger of the runners in the plenum. BTW, it would be easier for me to just buy an Evo 8-9 TB and be done with it a long time ago.

    Gotta clean up the bottom of the plenum and smooth out the transition on bore end.
