    Alpine Speakers

I installed some alpine type s 6x9 in the rear deck of my 8g. I used the bracket that alpine supplied but every time i open and shut my trunk it rubs against the magnet of the speaker...did anyone else have this problem?

no...i didnt use the bracket either. just install the speaker as is (without the brackets) and just make sure it's on good and tight. it shouldnt rub.

Its nice and tight, I am going to rip everything about again this week to dynamat the speakers and I'll have to look then and see whats up. Ill try to use them without the brackets and see if that makes a difference. Thanks!
