It is possible but will require work like said.

As far as lift and duration go in the evo 8 cams,
    Code:
    4G63 ( Eclipse/Talon Turbo Camshafts)
Adv. / Dur. Dur. @ .050 Lift (in) Lift (mm)
    248°/248° 200°/200° .349"/.350" 8.86/8.89

    4g63 ( Evolution VIII )
Adv. Dur. Dur @ .050 Lift (in) Lift (mm)
    248°/248° 200°/200° .386"/.367" 9.80/9.32
And well...it's hollow so less rotational mass of course. In short it is beneficial on one end IF you have your setup built to match that lift better than a stock 2g....
(lulz T25) Or at the same time it could be a headache and spending $300 on a set of DSM performance cams could yield a MUCH better result for your setup. Up to you.

This statement is so false!! Evo 8 cams will work with the dowel pins moved around and using a degreeing wheel to put the car at TDC. Its that simple!! My buddy Stephen has some Evo cams in his 2g making over 1000hp on turbo alone..

That's cool and all, but which part of my statement is false? Not starting a pissing match but cams alone isn't making that car.

ok that cheap and fast part sound good to me LOL. and i bet with a 14b evo cams would pull 2x better on take off and boost better.
