yeah but heightwise I have to be careful where my 12" is so the trunk hinges dont whack it . I have the cd stacker too which is a pani in the ass.

well your sub runs at 500 watts rms, both of those amps are a little stronger than that. The Alpine would probably blow the sub, the Infinity would run it but you would have to be careful.

    I would get this:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1170289779508

and run only 1 channel at 2 ohms, in case you ever wanna get a 2nd sub you have another channel available. DO NOT RUN IT 2 OHMS BRIDGED.

Wire it to one channel like so :

dont worry about blowin a kicker bro. my sub is only rated at 150 RMS 300 peak. the audio tech who sold it to me has run 900 through it and it handled. I run 600 through mine with flat EQ except for bass (- 10). and bass boost on the amp isnt even close to max. sounds awesome

Yea I do run 1600 watts bridged to my L7 with no problems... I didn't say anything and get in trouble when the OP says "it blew!" But Kicker's straight EAT watts. Is your box ported or sealed?

  15. #15
i believe it's sealed...(well i dont see any holes, ports, slots, or anything of the sort so im sure it's sealed)

np, with a sealed box you should have no problems with blowing the sub unless you crank the gain/bass boost all the way up to show off. Running it in a normal application (less than half gain and half boost) should be more than enough knock.
