    20's and bag's

hi i got my 2002 galant ES yesterday i like it alot. im going to go show with it. I plan on putting 20's bag's and a full body kit along with shaving all the door handles alot more i should have the rim's and bag's by summer i posted this because i was wondering if there was any body work needed to fit the 20's on i know the bag's will help when driving but will the tires rub against the body (when turing) of the car. please give me advise or suggestion's on what i should get done to prevent this.

That's gonna be a TIGHT fit when you lower it to get out. You'll probably be sitting frame to tires when you get out.

Yeah if you get 20s man you won't need bags. you'll be sittin on the air in the tire. May wanna invest in a trailer to keep it in also . That's the only way your getting around in it.

I got 18x8s and I rub on the body of the car on the rear driver's side tire. When you rub on every tight turn, and when people are in the car it constantly rubs......you feel like you have the most ghetto hoopty ass galant on the planet. It hurts my heart to even drive my car anymore. And I'm too broke to fix it right now........so.......watch out! :x

Here is a quote I found from wheelsboutique by searching TGC:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(wheelsboutique)</div><div class='quotemain'>Well lets see 20" on a galant. we have done it 2 times ..a must coilovers..and customize the shock..(cut the huge cup on which the old spring sat on ..and rear fend rolling alot..and we used the coilovers to leave it a stock height. looked good cause the 20" killed the gap but the car did sit a little high..but can be done, we could send you a diagram on what to do ..wheels must at least be 20x8.5 with a 38+ offset 20x8 alot better ..less work..but very few 20s come by 8..call 1-866-51-wheels for more info..good luck </div>

I wouldn't worry. At stock height you will be fine and if you are still planning to get an air suspension you can set it to the perfect height.

thats interesting but then things changed since u won't have the stock shock and spring setup with bags. i'd talk to the person who's doing ur bags to see about clearance issues.

im going to get full body kit either one for our car's or just go custom and get one molded on it when it's at the shop in going to get the door's shaved as well when it's done ill drive it to where im getting the bag's installed and put the 20's on and have the bag's ajusted to the body kti so when i park and drop it it doenst slam my body kit and crack the pant the reason i this thread was to maybe find someone that had bag's and 20's but so far no and the other reason i was worryed about the turning. when im driving it im going to have it all the way up but im not sure if that will be enough so that is doesnt scrape the wheel well's or should i just get them out and the last reason was the brakes 20's will kill my breaks and it is also unsafe so i was kindof looking for people with modded brake to maybe say something : but oh well i have about 4 month's to get the full set up right now the car is bone stock

Whats up you guys? I got some 19x8.5 Enkei Aegis wheels on my ride they come with a +44mm off set. I also have Hp coilovers. I rolled my fenders ghetto style with a baseball bat. I tuck the back wheels and almost tuck the front and i have no rubbing problems!!!!!

whuddup guys. i have bags with 17's, and i couldn't fit my pinky between the fender and tire. i dunno about 20's man. no way you'll get a drop from the bags without mods. i'm sure if you adjusted how low the bags dropped you somehow, it would work. but my 17's were tuckin tire
