tips and tricks for bullet proofing the tranny?

Anyone got ideas or know some companies that can beef up the tranny? Searched and all i found was some "fix the tranny up before you do..." and all that, but no specifics. I'm looking at the turbo setup and would like to be able to zip around more than just the block before the tranny grinds to dust.

Being fairly new to imports (i.e. 2nd import) just want to cover my bases before i mess it up. Any help is always appreciated.
