sounds fine. just do a test fit
Hard to say without trying them out if the will clear the Brembos. The offset can be what your looking for but the rims may not have the backspacing needed, or the spoke design may be wrong. I have heard of someone running a 9" rim in the rear on an 8g before, but never saw it in person.
2001 w/Old Style VR-4 front conversion
9" on the front wont fit, 8.5" is fine but will rub on turns, 9" in the back needs very low offset and cut fenders lip, as far as clearing the brembos thats hard to tell
if any of my info is wrong someone please correct me
good luck

sounds like it will easily clear the brembos but are way wide for the car...they will stick out like a skateboard...unfortunately the brakes are quite hard to fit your best bet is to search around and see what other members are using who run those brakes both here and for the 3g...other then that try sticking close to the stock offset and size of the evo wheels...also they really cant have a lip at all with those brakes. if you go with the stock specs for the evo
I just found rims 18''x7.3 with offset of 35mm just asking if that sounds about right? Clearing brembos
i ment 18''x7.5 correcting the one above
it also depends how low you are dropped. by the looks of your pics, ur not that low so probbaly thats the reason why you dont rub.
If you drop your rear low enough, negative camber may cancell out the rubbing...but then you'll have another problem with the tires wearing out prematurelyand you dont want that.
i'm 8.5 all around. At first was running with the negative camber but then my tires went to shit, so i had to buy a camber kit which corrected my tires consequently rubbing on the rear fender..so then..naturally i had to roll the rear fenders.

This is what im looking at
by specs and not looking at the spokes, id say you have a 50/50 chance that it will fit.
for reference, stock evo wheels are 17x8 38mm but their spokes are made to clear the brembo brakes.
It all depends on the spoke design. Those look like they would fit, but you should do a test fit first. You may need the spacers and extended wheel studs.

This is alot harder than I thoght
5-114.3 what if the lugs are this pattern
I guess ur not buying my rims?
Well right now Im confused with rim sizes and I didnt want to say anything yet untill I find out what can clear the brembos I have. When I found out that your couldnt that when I kinda panict and was confused bout what what rims I can get. Thats why im here trying to figue out and see if anybody can tell me what rims size is ok and offset is fine. I hope this does not upset you in anyway and make us enamies is anyway, Im pretty much learning what can fit with the evo brembos. I thought I can just get 17 or 18'' rims and ill be ok. All of this is new to me please forgive me Jeffy
It's all good... All you need are spacers, and they will clear..
