7G VR-4 Ecu and wiring layout wanted...

As you may know i did a complete VR-4 engine swap.

Now i have a little problem, its runs fine, but it uses way to much fuel...

It uses 1 litre at 6 kilometres, and it doesn't matter if i'm cruising or racing...

When i measure the exhaust gases, the CO is way high and it runs WAY to rich...

I've tried to read it out with a MUTII device and EVOscan, but it cant seem to find my

engine, i get into the car, check the ABS and A/C, and control it with the MUTII, but it

    can't connect with my engine...

I have been adjusting the wiring to get the engine running in my car and it is

possible that there is a mistake somewhere, so i was wondering if somebody has, or can

get his hands on a wiring layout, and an ECU layout so i now what to check and which

wires should be where on the ECU..

    Hope somebody can help me!

    Grtz Dennis

at best you can use the European manual that has the layout for 6A12 normally aspirated? If you need that you can find that at a thread that here http://bojo.hopto.org/Auto/Japan/Mit...alant/Manuals/

    under 1993-1996 galants.

get the service manual first, there is a "look at ECU wires" diagram. If that fails get the electical wiring diagram from here.

best of luck. BTW no check engine light?

    Thnx!

I'll take a look at that!

The 6a12 n/t is allmost the same as the VR-4 loom so maybe it will be helpfull..

No, no Check engine, it looks like the ecu has lost the engine or something, even when i put the MUTII on the car it cant find the engine...

Today i've been measuring at the connectors of the ECU, and i have a throttle signal, from 0,6 to 4,6V, RPM signal is ok, AFM signal is 25 Hz at idle and 180 hz at 5000 rpm, so that's ok i think...

I've found a installation manual from the apexi neo, so that's where found where those signals should be, and that is correct..

My next step is measure the rest when i have a wiring diagram..

    I'll keep you posted!!

There's nothing in english for the VR-4

Even the MUTII has to use the Japanese cartridge to interface with them.

However, I can get the wiring diagram for the 6A12, as my father works for mitsubishi ;)

Oh okay, that's how you mean it...

So your telling me that there is now way that the MUTII can communicate with the ecu without the japanese cartridge??

okay, that's nice, wish my father had a job like that... :)

And would you share this info with me? And is the diagram you can get your hands on from the 6a12 n/t or the VR-4 engine?

That's right, you have to use the Japanese cartridge to talk to the VR-4.... which is kinda ghey, but oh well.

I'll see which one it is and let you know.
