There's a hole in the hub. screw a bolt in there to help ease the rotor off the spindle. Or just hit it with a hammer lightly while turning to free the rortor off the E brake pads.

it seems like i need a wrench with a slot it in or something.

does it really matter. if ur gonna replace the rotor with a new one, i wouldn't give a shit about my old ones...
