    Quick Q... T1->T2

    Ok, so all the 7g'ers know that I have been on the hunt for a 16g turbo for quite some time now. Well in my adventures to find one, I happened upon a turbo that just fell in my lap. Problem is... I know nothing about it and can't seem to find much on the net.
    It's a T1 or a T2 turbine, that's all I know and that's all they called it. It's $50 and it came off of a SAAB. Hmmmm. Can I use this turbine and use the rest of my TSi parts to create my 4g64T? Will this turbo even work? How strong is it? Sorry for all the questions, but I was hyped when I heard about this.
    Basically I just want to know if anyone knows anything about the T1 or T2 turbine. Most importantly if it will mate up to a 1g manifold...

    Thanks fella's

    Wes

    i was looking at a SAAB for $600. it doesnt look bad but it sure be fun to buy it and play around with a turbo like urs. if i had a saab it try to steal it off u.

    i dont think it will work on a mitsubishi. if im correct saab is german and is not gonna work on something else. but i dont know much about turbos so maybe someone else can help.

    chances Are.. your saab Turbo is a garrett.. or a "kkk"

    which means... it *could* work.... but you'd likely have To get a t3/t4 cast manifold from buschur or the likes. ($500)

    there were, however saabs with mitsubishi turbos but you'd have To split yours, and put a dsm exhaust housing on it.

    So Craig, hypothetically it could mate to the 92 TSi manifold I already have?

    Ah well, I'll give it a test fit. If it doesn't fit... you'll see it on Ebay
