3G OEM Strut bar to 8G i4 compatiblity issues (resolved)

Recently I've been buying Chrysler/Dodge Coupe 2G OEM 3g strut bars from nearby junkyards and selling them locally to TGC,GF, C3G folks. I never had a problem with fitment from the 3G V6/i4 & the 8G V6 owners but I stumbled into a small problem (more like a big problem) from the 8g i4 owners, specifically Silver01G (01 i4) and Kalamidad (99 i4).

    Solution:

What you can do is before you buy it, test the strut bar on any junked 8g Galant that has little to no front damage. Damaged front is an indication whether or not the strut housing may be little off thus making this test irrelavent. If it fit nicely, you got a good strut bar, if it doesn't fit, try searching for another one.

thats weird never heard of that before I have v6 bar on my 02 4 cyl no issues...only thing is I had to put the brackets first and then mount the bar on brackets..suppose to fit snug

When I feel like eating a banana, I like to go to the zoo, sucker punch a gorilla and try to run with a banana hanging out my bum. Then if I succeed, I enjoy my victory with said banana and a stroopwaffle.

wtf is the point of this thread? it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you buy a bent strut bar, its not gonna fit.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.
