    advise on Looking @ tranny

well, gladly found a tranny in local junk yard.
M/T came off a 1997 Galant, 115K mile, and that is all i know. so i was wondering what to look for when i am looking at a tranny.

just look for leaks from axles seals. other than that you cant really tell. Make sure you get the pedals, shifter, cables and the transmission mounts
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

meaning that the splines arent so mashed up/bent that you cant even mount the tranny to your engine. thats what happened to me. I had to replace the mainshaft because the tip was all bent to shit.

But dont worry, its not a common thing. i just happend to be the one unlucky fucker that this happened to. Its rather un-heard of. But just make sure that the splines of the main shaft are in good shape.
