Looks like it still needs the cross member to hold the other 2 engine mounts put in, that should straighten it up a little.

Also remove that black pipe on the right in the last pic and use a full sized either 2.5" or 3", that's a huge power loss right there.

Yea I will eventually do a full custom intake but i don't have the money right now. every cent is going into the finishing of this build performance stuff will be later down the road.

Hmmm... usually the manuals don't have the pipe shaped like that, as that's so you can get to the autobox oil filter.

However, the build looks like it's coming along very nicely :)

^ Ill have to look into it i have the AWD trans still that came with it so it may have been swapped from auto to manual in japan before it was exported.

    Anyways
    Little more done.

    I can has charge piping?

the gap i need to fill

    Done

Hood clearance keep in mind the hood is latched on the safety catch (First click)

    Engine lowered, and All done

    Money shot*

*hood was closed all the way in this pics fully latched and plenty of clearance i just now have to get used to the engine sitting crooked

what were you exactly rubbing on before you had to adjust the engine for the hood to close?

    ^ Upper Turbo Y Pipe

we originally raised the engine so it was level and this cause the hood to not close, the evo hood is really different from the mirage.

cant you fabricate piping for the intercooler so it doesnt sit on top of the engine cover? so atleast that way the motor is level. Wont you have oil pick up issues if the engine was crooked?
