    05 galant with gage problems

    i just recently changed the gage facing to whit and i went to go put the cluster back and i had it all togeather and i looked and the needles on the rpms and the mph just droped passed zero? so i took it off and fixed it and now i let it sit for like 10 mins and go start the car back up and the needles twitch like twice and drop again keeps on doing it. and when idleing it is supose to be between 0 and 1 but it is not doing that umm any ideas maybe thanks alot jay

    If you took the needles off, you probably didn't put them back on correctly. Make sure they aren't pushed down all the way and rubbing on the gauges. The RPM and speedo should move freely all the way through their arc and return back to zero. You can gently move them with your finger before you put the cover back on to verify this. Don't try that with the fuel gauge or you'll have to recalibrate it.
