    Horse Power

I wanna findout what adds horse power to our cars and how much is it.... What i heard

    Intake - 5hp
    Exhaust - around 20hp
    Racing chip - around 30hp

What else can you add and how much hp would it raise?

the intake gains will be barely noticeable. the short ram will prolly not add more than 1-2whp and the cold air would probably add 2-3whp but you'll only notice the gain up top with the CAI. You'd probably have to flash the ECU to get those gains.. and 15whp from an exhaust is most likely a very very expensive system. and it HAS to be the full exhaust header back.

as far as racing chip, unless you drive a VW or Audi, don't buy into it.

4g63t is what you need if you want some added hp or turbo the 4g64.

any stickers that you put on your windows, 10 hp each!!!!! no lie and if you get a banner accross the windsheild saying somthing stupid that 50 hp. there like points just give them out like candy everyone. sike no. If you really want to look into any hp gain at all go read a lot and i mean ALOT!!!!! in the tech forums. you need to learn about building a motor and how a turbo works. thats the best bet with this car. 1. 4g63t headswap. 2. fully built motor. 3. big 16g turbo!!!!

An a FULL catback exhaust (header to muffler) and a intake will probably yield you HP gains..but probably won't be noticable till higher in the powerband.

If you want some serious HP gains and notice it...either turbo your 4G64, NOS, or swap a 4G63t into your Galant.

If you are A/T...I would swap to a 5 speed.

one thing that you can do is advance your base timing 5-10* and run only 93 octane to offset the knock.
intake, exhaust, header, balance shaft delete, underdrive pulley set, having a new battery and alternator to ensure your coils and ecu are seeing maximum voltage(injector maps are dependant on battery voltage), 60mm throttle body, new fuel filter, and a fresh oil change...

thats about all you can do to get the most out of your motor w/ basic bolt on's
i'd say all those mods would get you about 160-170whp

then get the most out of it with a firmed suspension w/ poly bushings and performance shocks. lightweight wheels, a healthy braking system....
