    alright! got the head

i havent been in the forum for a while now, since work and etc...
found this super duper 2g head off a 96 gsx 2.0 turbo
    very sweet deal.

Here is my question, the timing belt i have to get a 4g64 dohc belt, i search it on ebay and could not find anything.

do i need to change the injector too?

    and the last question
would i be able to pass smog? cel will be on?

    Thanks for the support guys

you can leave the injectors and youll be fine,, if you leave the stock ecu u should be fine.. now the eclipse ignition is different as it has coil packs not a distributor.. u can have a mirage distributor machined to fit or change over your ignition to the eclipses.. and dont only look on ebay for parts... the timing belt has to be from the 4g64 DOHC and the part number is MD182292 and you can get it for around 50-80 bucks from what ive seen.. you also need the DOHC 4g64 head gasket part # MD189436.. and many other parts to make this work. it all adds up quick and make sure you have everything to do this before you start.. i recommend looking at the head swap tutorial as i dont feel like listing all the parts and part numbers over

i got the part list, but i just wondering
so after i swap the head, so the engine will call 4g63 or still 4g64?

and by you mean the eclipse ignition, what is that mean?
i know it has coil packs but it should just basically plug and play? and how much wiring i need to do? obdii compliant?

The only option is to use the 2g cam angle sensor, power transistor, coil packs, and either a 2g spyder ECU, or 2g GST/GSX ECU. Go look at the 2g ECU swap Tutorial in the 7g master list.

And Gates belts are decent. If you want OEM, order from:
    http://www.donherring.com/Parts.aspx
    7g for life!

go to oemmitsubishiparts.com they have all the oem parts and the belt is only like 70 bucks

    yes it will pass smog

if you plan on turboing later on go with the 2g turbo ecu if not go with the spyder ecu.. either way you need their ignition(coil packs, power transistor and the CAS)
