**black rub strips? 1999 galant?**

Does anyone know if there are rub strips that are made for the 1999 galant, and where i can buy or order them from thanks.

I think he is talking about those rubber strips that go on the end of the doors so that when you open the door too fast you don't ding the other person's car, or scratch your own door on the edge

except for the fact that the top of the door sticks out further than the rub strips. ive never understood that

Rub strips are the molding on the doors that say galant in the back..

they are molding. You can get them from dealership for an arm and a leg I am sure or from a junkyard off either a black galant or a DE model galant. Or by the odd chance that a member removed them to shave and fill like I did on my galant you might find them for sale here

Correct name if you were to go find them at a dealer is either the door trim molding. Or door bumper molding some people know them as also.
