Just curious about this point, but is nitrous legal during state safety inspections? I can't see how it would be illegal since it doesn't modify emissions equipment, and unlike a supercharger/turbo it's not on all the time. I might call up NX since they're a Texas company but they're closed at this hour

Here's the answer I received from NX. I only inquired about Texas inspections:
In Texas, it really just depends on who you go to. Though it's not really an illegal modification, if the facility is a jerk and wants to fail you they can legally do so.
