The evo motor wont swap over either..... It wont work becasue the motors are turned 180 degrees from the 7th gen. They are the same exact motor, everything is just turned. There is no diff in performance so why would you want to swap it??? If you wanna swap the motor go with a 1st or 2nd gen eclipse motor but you will have to do a good chunk of wiring.

You cant say it wont fit. You can say it is not a direct bolt in. I have seen a 5g Mirage(same motor orientation as the 8g) do a 1g 4g63t motor swap. Lots of welding and fabricating involved.

So, the money you save on that motor and trans, you will spend 10x that in custom fabrication to get the motor to bolt in ;)
    7g for life!
