Frustration is just getting the best of me. I'm just crossing my fingers that it has to do with the colder weather for some reason. When I parked it, everything worked fine and it was running with no issues. Then I let it sit for the better part of the winter and it refuses to show any signs of wanting to start. Maybe I'm just getting impatient.

I need to re-scan for codes to see if anything else came up rather than the usual code for not having the catalytic converter. It has spark, and I smell fuel. When I get more time, I'll dig further, unless I notice something obvious that I may be overlooking. Gotta love venting and frustration.

Over the past week, I've been messing with the car again. It still refuses to start after a new distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs. I don't believe fuel is the issue as the old plugs were soaked in it.

Today's great idea. Why not check the coil for resistance and needless to say, the number on the multimeter was bouncing all over the place. I just got back from picking up a newer distributor. After dinner I'm throwing it in. Hopefully my next post in this thread will have something along the lines of "it's running"

Haha showtime, I'll try not to.

Galantman, first and foremost is to keep it running. 2nd is to install the 6G75 plenum, then work on a tune. And somewhere in there get my new-style bumper painted. It looks a little funny right now with only headlights on my front end.

finally! haha so did you pinpoint the problem? or fix a bunch of possible things and get a good outcome LOL

I would have tried to help figure it out, but really I think I would have just caused more problems haha

Adrian, I'm thinking it was the distributor giving me problems all along. Nothing else seemed to make any difference until I replaced that today. I'm just glad it was something that simple.

I have lots of reading to do on tuning now. Headache here I come :-p

Actually I think a lot of the stuff is not as complicated as I previously thought it would be. I just needed some time to really sit down to look at the stuff and put a little bit of real mental effort to understand everything.

I'm taking a brief hiatus because I opened up the ROM in a hex editor and really have no idea what is going on there.. lol
Anyway you have my number.. I think
