    Bimmer vs audi billboard war ROUND 2

    came across while i was reading auto news

    The ‘Billboard War’ between Audi and BMW has taken a new life of its own, thanks to the latter’s new Billboard in Ingolstadt, which incidentally, is the home turf of Audi.

    The two billboards gained notoriety all over the world, thanks in large part to its innovative nature of one-upsmanship.
    And now, BMW has decided to invade Audi’s backyard of Ingolstadt with its new BMW Z4 billboard, which was placed about 300 feet away from the Audi Zentrum. While the tag line of BMW’s new billboard, “Vorsprung durch Freude” - “Joy starts with the new BMW Z4 Roadster” – does not make any direct reference to Audi, the mere fact that it placed it near Audi headquarters has everyone itching for an Audi response.
    We don’t know yet how the folks from Audi will reply to this, but were pretty sure that this ‘Billboard Duel’ between these two rivals is far from finished.

    The new Z4 is sick! I checked it out yesterday, my dad has an '07 and wants a 2010. Its lines resemble a McLaren SLR. Its wider, lower, faster....there is nothing wrong with that.

    don't like them getting close to SLK, but still a great car and my favorite.........Bimmer smell is still there

    no where near the SLK. Bigger, faster (without having to go AMG) and they actually have "toys". My parents love gadgets and they CLK didnt have enough toys on the car for them to get it. The Bimmer had a great look and some very nice features. HTe new one has more shit. The 3.5 has the twin turbo 6 with a 7 speed double clutch trans with paddles. *drool!*

    My fiancees parents just bought a 2009 civic and it doesnt have power locks.

    BMW FTW in my book. M is the most powerful letter in the world.

    m3, m5, m6 ftw. audi=highclass volkswagens=tranny issues, constant break downs, extremely expensive parts....and the list keeps going...Oh and for the record, consumer reports rated the 3 and 5 series as a recommended buy for how many years now? Audi just barely gets an ok rating? cmon now.

    I agree. any problems with Audis. great eye candy, but too many inside problems. I would own any BMW before an Audi. Yes, M3 M5 and M6 are to die for IMO and oops lets not for get, the Aplina B7! A supercharged 7 series. what more can you ask for? *drool*

    Actually they are both as bad as each other when reliability and maintenance come in to it. I would rather an earlier bmw (pre 96) or a late model audi
