    :)
    update 8/15/09
man i would said the most difficult to do the swap is the under dash work
freaking dremel the 3 hole take me all day, but easier to do it with a proper tool.
    my neck hurts ~_~

    install all the pedals
took out the automatic shifting assembly(i took the whole console out and wash it too)
completely strip out my seats and wash it

was trying to take out the axle, but did have the 22mm for the lower ball joint
so i took the axle nuts tie rod apart

looking forward tml at least remove the auto tranny.

when i taking the bolts out of that triangle plate off the flex plate i found it shatter in two piece, basically i been driving with only 2 bolts' power! god bleed mistu auto tranny

Shit Just started phase one of ajth87's 5spd swap. Thought it was gonna take me all day to do the holes but to my surprise had a perfectly cut hole in less than 30 minutes. Shit thats my best timing yet, gotta see what problem we run into next week when we put in the tranny.
BTW im still looking for a 7 Bolt flywheel so if anyone has holla at me.

ya you need a dremel or some sort of cutting tool. and something that can fit in the tiny space given and drill holes.

ok havent been working on my car since, because work school starting...

now i remove the triangular thing thing, i guess that might be flex plate. so i am seeing what you will think, the crank pulley and the spacer. which is bit*h to get out. i am still stuck, is there any suggestion? i trying prying on it using a screw driver, wriggling it out with channel lock but didnt even seem to be very useful...

Pray you dont run into my issue....after the torque converter was off the bolts on the crank were frozen on. Peano got 2 of them off no problem...the other...not so much! WE had to have the other 5 bolts AIR CHISSELED OFF! Just be on the look out. Keep it up, good luck

real easy and quick way to get it out is to spray it with PB and use a small torch and heat it up after that use channel lock and wiggle side to side and spin etc till it comes out.
Some swaps are easier than others. I spent a whole 2 days trying to get mine out but on MKO's swap it came right out with no prob.

Just keep it up! You are on the road to success. That is unless you just wanna buy my 7G

Actually, there is a tool you can rent from Advanced auto, or O'Reily's. It has a small tool that comes to a point, but you can open it up and apply pressure to the ring from the inside. The tool then connects to a long rod with a weight attached to it that slides on the rod.

Once you put the tool inside the ring and open it up, you slam the weight down the rod until it hits the end and it slowly works out the ring.

I tried for a week to get the ring out. got the tool and it came out in less than 3 min.

^ I think Seth used one of these and it broke...

Get an air chisel and go straight on the pilot bearing, so you make a lil notch on it /about 3/8 deep/. Then again with the air chisel up against the notch go left and right and youre gonna see it move. Lube it really well and it should start spinning while air chiseling. Then get the vice grips or the locking ones and go for it. It took me like 30 min to get mine out
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

I can't remember which place carried the right tool, but i rented one form one place and it didn't work so well, but the one my dad got, which i think was fram actually Auto Zone worked perfectly. To MKO: it was built better and pulled it right out.

well, today is Sunday, i went to pick up the "pilot bearing remove" from o-reily did not even wrok, the problem is the leg would not slip under the little gap behind the spacer. Man i am so stuck, try autozone tml even napa see what they got.

i try heat it up with a propane torch sit there with flame 5 min on the spacer, try pb blast and big channel lock...
    no luck at all
