    compression

I just picked up another 7g for $400. clean title, straight body, power everything inside, clean interior, good motor, bad auto tranny. I plan on switching all my suspension parts over to it along with my 5spd. I want to do a compression test on both motors to see which one is better and that is the one I will go with. what compression should a stock 94 4g64 and stock 95 4g64 run? I am not sure if they are 7 bolt or 6 bolt.

Per the Haynes work manual, the galant's 2.4L SOHC engine's standard compression is 192 psi and the minimum compression is 145psi, jjj

did the test on both engines. the white one is running 175 accross the board.
the red is running 160 accross the board.
Looks like I will be sticking with the one out of my white one. makes the swap easier anyway. no need to change transmissions.
