    IAC cleaning

somethings up with search and is not giving me any results.

Has anyone tried cleaning their IAC after a malfunction code??

if so, did you use a solution or a soft tip brush?

Just use throttle body cleaner. That's what I did. There isn't much to clean on the IAC for the V6. You can just clean the tip and that's about it. You can't get inside of it without opening it up, which I couldn't figure out how to do.

I was having problems with my car idling crazy and even stalled a couple times at a stop. Tried messing with the IAC and replacing it with one from a junk yard, but the problem ended up being the crankshaft sensor wire somehow got too close to the harmonic balancer and was causing some kind of magnetic interference. Just crazy. Not sure how the wire moved. I did my timing belt last year, about 20k miles ago, and all of the sudden it moves?
