    need help! 40 series tires

    guys i need you help and opinion on this. my friend is working on yokohama tire factory and he's selling me 4 brand new yokohama parada 215/40/17 for $240 on the 4 pieces. according to him these are the only available series for 215/17 as of now. question, are they harsh on a lowered 7g? i have tried 45 series and its ok for me. has anybody tried? or use the same tire profile? TIA

    45 would of been better since they are beefier. but 40 isn't too bad since they are 215's

    guys thanks for the info. I'm just waiting for the tires possible this week or next and will post pics. Galanttuner10 thanks for the pics. mine is also black 7g.=)

    Wow $240 is dam cheap for a set of good tires :O

    I agree with everyone else...for the price 215/40's will be fine, but 215/45's ride much better. I have had both and I definately prefer the 45's

    finally installed the yokohama parada spec 2 215/40/17 tires. i inflated them with nitrogen. i really love the ride..
