Stuck in 3rd And Change TCU??

Ok to day i change my tcu because i have to shift to drive and than reverse to get the car to go back and i drive it for a a little bit and than it will get stuck in 3rd i can put it to 2 and it will go to 2nd gear and shift 3rd but no O/D. But if i turn it off it will go back fine and the CEL is on what you think. Don't say nutting about 5 speed because i don't have all the parts right now and i really need my car for work right now.

If its your TCU...it will go to failsafe mode where it will only stay in 3rd gear no matter what till the TCU issue has been resolved by either repairing it or replacing it.

Sounds like you are having transmission issues because you have to go into different gears to move the car in a particular drive mode.

Get the CEL code and go from there.

Yeah it is PO1750 But i really but i re-look what it is in the Haynes manual the code reads PO750. Automatic trans axle shift solenoid A electrical malfuction.
