    Another newbie

Hey guys, just discovered TGC today and after browsing for a few hours, seems like you've got a nice place here!
I currently own an 8G (2002) ES, completely stock except for an intake that I ordered earlier today. Hopefully you guys can give me some pointers sometime :P

I'll throw up some pics in the morning. Don't have any and it's way too dark right now.

Also, for the intake I ordered, how simple is it to install? I haven't exactly done much work on cars but it seems fairly simple for a beginner...

You'll find all the information you'll need here. I wasnt able to even tell you what an air intake was when I bought my Galant. but thanks to this forum, lots of searching, and its helpful members, I was able to turbo the car a couple of years later

Okay so about that intake I was posting about. Got it on fine without any problems, but my service engine light came on a day later and I was wondering what I could've done wrong? My only thought would be putting the MAF on wrong.

Hello! have you maybe tried reseting the ECU? (unplug ecu and insert back in after 10 seconds) this will reset the sensor to read new air intake.

Cool to know a tgc member is close to where I am! (northern virginia)
