Well it all depends on what you want to do with the car...performance wise? and how much power your looking for? You say your tired of 4cyl motors but you decide between Evo motor and v6 motor. Well think about it first the Evo motor is so much lighter, and its going to be so much easier to work with...not only that you can get much better power from the Evo. As for the v6 motor you gatta realy look around for parts, itll be hard to get around the engine and you have to buy extra of everything which jacks up prices. They both have awesome power if built the right way, but if I was you I would go for the Evo...maybe a 4cyl but a 4cyl motor that will make you happy every time you drive it.

Why dont you just want to do a headswap and boost it ? its far easier to do than us 6g72 guys, we have no room to work. From what i understand some 4g63 parts will hook up right to your engine.

It should also be noted that swaping in a V6 to your existing 4cyl platform can be done, however it will require significant work and more expense to swap in. As an estimated amount I would shoot for around $2K+ just to be able to fab everything and swap in a V6...not including the performance build aspect of that engine either.

If you want a V6 then I would suggest finding an ES or GTZ model with the V6 engine, or you can boost the 4cyl with the money you would likely spend on a different car.

4g64 with 63 head on boost more torque less rpm's take a 4g64 and a 4g63 and look at the differences its like comparing a kia head to a evo head, i prefer torque and less high revs to get where i want
    4g64>4g63 my opinion
    Torque>Highend

    torque wins races

I didnt even think of that, yeah its going to coast more doing the v6 swap cuz its not just the motor but also tranny and mounts...soooo it sounds good to just keep the 4g64 and swap the head to DOCH look into it man.

If you are using the G 4g64 block either the Evo 8, I believe the year of 2001 Kia 4cyl or a Hyundai sonata 4cyl head will fit the 4g64 block. You said how much will that run you...in what way do you mean??? money wise or power wise? If money wise not to much at all it all depends how far you would like to go but just stock DOCH head would do the job if your running turbo. If your looking into p&p the head and upgrading the cams, springs, and valves your looking at pretty good power there. Best bet is look for an Evo head or sonata head which parts are interchangeable and thats as far I would go cuz I have no idea how far you want to go. Are we boring the walls and putting forged internals or keeping stock parts. You have to give up alil more info so we can help you out.

i mean money and power wise... ok ill keep it to the EVO head and just keep it stock for now because of $$$ limit... about how much will i expect hp wise? so should the 4g63 turbo kit would fit on the 64? or would i have to get a kit specifically 4 da 64? i could keep a low boost kit with stock internals? i appreciate ur help guys. thx

The Evo 8 turbo kit pretty much fits right in and maybe some fiddleing here and there, btu everything should fit right in. Putting an Evo head on a stock 4g64 and running low boost you should be looking at alil over 250 HP if everything built the right way and with a good tune. With the DOCH head you should get a much better respnce from the motor but what size injectors your going to run? You should just use the stock evo injectors and Evo 8 ECU. If anything, if your so tight on money I would wait a little longer untill you do this project just incase something goes wrong and you have something to back up.

    ....

just swap your pistons with a optima ones put a kia head on it, probably an instant 30 hp or so you'll be happy, and your automatic tranny will be happy too

here is your difference between stock and kia

^You gotta research. Don't mean to discourage you but if you don't know what you need then you are not ready to turbo the car. Just my opinion.
