It means it gets constant ground, Probably the switch on the pedal is sticking. IDK if you can clean it or something. I havent heard anyone having this problem before

There is a rubber gromet on the brake pedal that engages and disengages the brake switch. In time it will dry break apart and break off and there is nothing to engage the brake switch which will keep your brake lights on.

Locate where you brake switch is at and look at the brake pedal assembly. If the gromet is missing...you will see a hole where it would attach to on the brake pedal. If its still there...then you have a bad brake switch most likely.

Did you even check if you have that rubber bumper "insulator"? Its most likely that is missing and there is nothing to engage the brake switch.

Just look under the dash towards the base of the brake pedal.

most likely the grommet is there and the switch is bad or........if anyone has been messing with it maybe they didnt screw it back in place correctly and has the switch pushed all the way in(happened to me once on a 5spd swap).
