Whoa, Ive never seen that front end before. The hood and headlights and bumper are totally different from what we are used to see. Pretty unique. I kind of like it
so I got bored, and I have two new additions to the family so tried and failed miserably at artistic shots.
What I've picked up is a 1995 7G E54A Emeraude (basically a Galant hard top) 2.0 V6 and a 1997 8G EC5W Legnum 25ST-R 2.5 V6 AWD with tiptronic. Emeraude is in a pretty poor state and am just tidying it to sell, so I can then sink money into the Legnum as it's not road registered yet.

the whole bodyshell is different, even the interior is styled quite differently and the only common feature is the dashboard. it has frame-less windows (hard top) and a high lip trunk-lid. the rear seats look quite futuristic.
The Emeraude was only available in the 7th gen only, unique to the Japanese market. You could even get an Eterna in the 7th gen shape which had different body panels as well, but the interior is almost identical to the Galant:
I had a 6th gen Eterna-Sava sedan as well, not to be confused with the Eterna five door lift-back. It had a lower roof line and the rear pillar backwards was drastically different:
It looks like a mix of US mirage and Galant
digging the tails on the EC5W Legnum, those would look sweet in CF or blacked or paint matched
Never mind how rare these cars are.... man your front yard has more cars than my local mitsu dealer :(
haha and that's just my front yard, I have a storage shed about 5 mins from my home where my Eterna and VX-R Galant are (in bits).
Beautiful cars!
