I know, remember when i was trying to get the cables for you off that 3g and I couldnt, well same reason, I couldnt get my hand in there. It was hard for my 7g, but at least I got the socket in there. Well 8g guys should chime in
So I started to remove parts off of the car to make way for the 5-speed swap. I got the axles out, disconnected all the electrics from the trans, and took the center console apart. I was going to remove the cables tonight to but I cant get the bolts off. I am using the flexhead 12mm ratcheting box end wrench and it is Hard as hell. So my question is,
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GET THE CABLE BRACKET BOLTS OFF???!?!?!?!?!
Now that I got that out of the way, Does anyone have any other way of getting those bolts out? Maybe I have relativley larger hands than I thought but I can barely get my hand in there to put the head of the wrench onto the bolt head.
PLEASE HELP!

I'll try getting a flare. Worst comes to worse I'll pull the dash and lift up on the heater core. Do I have to drain the coolant if I mess with the heater core from the interior?
dude, dont use nothing but a flare wrench. Trust me on this its easy as pie, just a lil time consuming unless you get a flare wrench thats ratchet.

Try using a flexible extension and put a socket on it.

thank goodness for my tiny hands lol...........maybe I can be of assistance :P joke.
If getting the whole trans swap done in a timely fashion is the idea. Then having a flare wrench is your answer.
PS. protect your hands bro with a pair of Mechanix Gloves.
bc everyone knows chicks dig a hard working man lol ;)

I got the right side off with a regular socket. I'm going to pick up a set of flare wrench attachments for my socket for the left one. I took the whole dash apart, but once I got to the heater core I said fuck no I aint going to mess with all that. lol
im not looking forward to doing this.. everyone seems to complain about it..
LOLOL, back in the days it was cutting out the clutch master hole and putting in the pedals. Now its the shifter assembly that everyone bitches about. Truthfully after doing about 9 or 10 swaps on the 7G and now doing my first 8G swap, it went way faster and less tedious. You need the right tools and secondly get 2 cans of PB cuz the undercarriage of the car is the real PITA i.e. seized or frozen bolts.........
