    suffolks snowstorm

so i hear suffolk got the most snow on the east end.....and thats exactly where i live. figured id share some pics of the damage we got last night.

so these pics were taken around 10ish and it is now 10pm and the roads are still not plowed. i took my dads truck to work today and the main road wasnt even plowed. idk but this town was not ready for any kind of snow thats for sure. i should taken my quad to work since i saw more quads than cars haha. anybody else get any snow this weekend?

im a good 20 miles west of you and we still got hit hard. we measured 23" at my house and drifts almost 4 feet. My neighbor has a minivan that was parked on the street and between the plow that cam mid way thru the storm and the drifts, all you can see is the very top of the roof.

My G is sleeping tight in the garage.....

we got it pretty bad too in the city, or t least where i am...although geographically i am on the other end of the Long Island. we got about a foot and a half but of course since we are the end plot, we got a lot of drift so around my house there is a few feet. the cars werent too bad though and my galant is in my mechanics garage...definately glad we got the outlander though for times like this

My G got stuck on a 5inch deep ice block in my parking lot at work I spent 40 mins digging her out so I could park. Summer tires are not as good as all season tires in snow :-D

I miss my montero and both my cars are on summer tires. The BMW was worse then the G :(

A little piece of advice for driving in snow with non-snow tires, air them biatches down a bit. I dropped the tire pressure in my wifes car down at around 25psi and it holds traction nicely. At the same time, I dont recommend going any faster than 60 on an underinflated tire, but she's only doing local road driving.
