there are more worthwhile mods for your car on a colege student budget than fog light projectors. air intake, muffler, radio, navigation.

    i miss those college days....

I have intake dont need radio or nav. may do an exhaust soon, but I am doing full header back 2 1/4 at that point not 2.5

I have 3 lcd screens so I am contemplating a car-puter with 3 screen output. Not sure where I am heading yet. I already did projector fogs cost me 50 bucks.

Thanks for the advice though Aaron.

Requested in Ebay Proj Head Thread so I figured I would post here as well.

Un adjusted cut off of the halogen projectors with the provided H1 halogens. These will be adjusted once I get my ddm HIDs installed and I can see the cut off lines of the halogen projector fogs once the mounting hardware is done being fabricated.

I labeled the views so you can see where the shot was from. Like I said these are unadjusted. It should be a nicer cut off when I am done.

I thought it was 2 1/8 and a bit restrictive I was going to use a super cat with rpw headers eclipse piping and a nice muffler I dont need it to be super aggressive I want a nice clean sound and want the back pressure to still be there as i am not planning to turbo soon.

Hmmm if you guys are right 2.5 may be the way.

i would buy a magnaflow muffler and call it a day.

The gains you would see on a full mandrel bent 2.25" exhaust with a high flow cat and exhaust would be maybe 5-10 hp at most. That is nothing to write home about.

There have been dyno tests in the import magazines recently of high-flow-cats vs stock cats, vs gutted cats, vs no cats at all. They all performed the same, giving only a 1-3 hp defference between them.

Also, the header will make your engine sound worse instead of better. There was a Galant (I dont think hes a member here) that came to the TGCNY bbq and we heard his car coming from maybe a 1/2 mile away. We were all looking at each other going, "what is that sound???" Then we see a Galant fly by. it was an loud WAAAAAA sound. IIRC, he said he had an obx header.

krispy03 had a DC Sports header and he said, and I quote, "it sounds like a farting duck".

I know how hard it is to mod on a college student budget. Just tryin to save you guys money.

HAHA sounds like me....I have OBX racing headers but also have straight pipe going to the muffler which also goes straight out. Plus love it when I hear my motor scream

You should buy shrouds for the fog lights. I would search ebay for some that would fit. It looks kinda ghetto with it just sitting in the hosing with no shrouds. But it's looking like it will look good once your done though.

I am doing retorfits in my headlights and this is the projector I will be using.

I'm most likely removing the halos from it though. I also have 2 other sets of halogen projectors in my basement.

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

So I got bored around 10:45 EST it is currently 12:04 EST. I finished :)

4300K 35w digital ballast HIDs. I love them so much :)

They have a bit of blue around the edges, but are pure white on the road. Kinda like the stuff they use OEM on some cars now.

Should have some nicer shots once I am done adjusting and my camera is charged. It was blinking at me :).
