Yes, it is broken blow off valve. I think that the valve cannot be repaired.
I recommend GReddy blow off valve.

I'm using the TurboXS blow off valve, works great !

yep its a broken blow off valve. My 6a12TT has the same one. But i changed it to the greddy type-S BOV. Good thing about the greddy is that you can adjust it so that you can hear the BOV sound even in recirculating mode.

thanks guys, I went ahead and ordered the Greddy type S and the flange. Now on to getting the intercooler repaired...

yup the clip suffered front end damage and a golf ball sized hole welcomed me
