    door panel gap

i took off my passanger side door panel and im trying to put it back but i get this annoying gap at the top of the panel by where the window glass is. i know its not supposed to be this way since my driver side door is nice and flush. i tried to push the edge of the panel into the opening but it doesnt seem to take. am i doing something wrong? do i remove that trim where the edge of the panel is supposed to go? help? i have a 2007 galant ralliart.

i know on the 8th gen, there is a peice with window felt? idk what they call it, but it goes against the window and then slides down onto a metal flange on the door itself... thus pressing against the window. you should take off your door panel and start putting it back on towards the side mirror and work your way back to the end of the door, and then the door panel should just hang there, but all the body clips with then line up with the holes, and just snap them into place.... sorry if it doesn't make sense...

That thing is a bitch to get back on.. Try getting the front of the door panel, the corner closest to the side mirror, on first at an angle.
