Glo-Gauges & Needles

I'm looking at getting the Speedhut indiglo or reverse indiglo gauges for my 2002 GTZ. I have heard HORROR stories of taking off the needles and subsequent recalibration issues. So I have some questions.

1) Do the present Speedhut glo-gauges require the removal of the needles?

2) Are reverse indiglo guages 2-layered while regular indiglo are 1 layer?

3) Which/What brands of glo-gauges DO NOT require the removal of the needles? GDI? AP? Links very much appreciated. Thanks.

well i dont know alot about guages but what i do know is this,,

i would rather get el guages,, easy to instal and no needle to remove,, but its up to you,, its your car,,,

all of the indiglow guages out for the 8g don't require u to remove the needle. its the non indiglo guages that require u to.
