    Exhaust opinion

So the pipe from the 2nd cat back over the axle to the muffler completely rusted out and my muffler is hanging by the rear j hangar in the rubber boot. Should i just take it to Meineke and have them grind bend and re-weld that section or should I get another catback in estimation that more not-so-visible areas of my exhaust system is rusted too? The cat looks good, i think the rear axle area rusted due to the weld location..

Just get the ebay exhaust. G-spot said it is actually pretty solid. Since you are not trying to look for power or anything, Just buy the 79.99 ebay catback and weld your magnaflow onto the piping in place of the fart can.

i would bother painting it and clearing it unless your gonna keep the car another 7+ years. Metal takes a really long time to rust straight thru. You can probably have a muffler shop bend pipe and install a muffler for under $200

If it is like the megan it has a 2.25 inner & 2.5 outer dia...which is the same as stock but it is mandrel bent not crush bent so it flows better since the exhaust no longer has bottlenecks. Fyi if it is like the megan you have to cut or bend the rear oem heatshield over the muffler because it will rub and it will drive you crazy lmao.
