when you upgrade the alternator you should also upgrade the wire from the alternator to the battery and your factory ground from the battery to the chassis.

I Have 2 alpine type R, 12in subs, they are damn good subs for how much i paid. There not too expensive compared to other major brands, you want LOUD speakers for a reasonable price go with theese. I also had some 15in Kicker CVX comp. Subs, theese are basicly the same speakers as L7's with the same specs, only that they are circular and not square shaped. Again these speakers are loud as hell when paired with the right amp, they both blew me away with their performance and capabilities. My lights used to dim like crazy! It looked like i had strobe lights on while driving, i got a 1 farad capictor (i was told that wasnt enough) and an optima yellow top battery and it eliminated my problem. Id still like to upgrade to a H.O. alternator, but thats pretty expensive for my budget atm
