    Parts, Parts, Parts...

I just got Tein springs, Kyb shocks and struts, some 17 inch black asa wheels with a silver lip. So I can avoid the typical problems with a lowered vehicle I bought some Moog ball joints (hoping they are strong enough). My galant has gotten me back and forth to work for 3 years with no complaints. Time to help it out. Then the stereo will go in. I got a new kenwood radio with blue tooth, Excelon x40 amp for the interiors, A 1000 watt matching kenwood for the bass. Got 4 kicker comp vr 8 inch I will be building a custom vented enclosure for. Pictures will ensue with the outset of every project as soon as I start. Theyre will also be "before" pictures but they wont be so great, the car has hub caps and that damn mitsubishi paint problem on the roof and trunk lid.
    eventually it will get painted.

I think it'll look great once its dropped. You might have rubbing issues depending on what tire size you have on there.

I have questions but I like to give people a chance to chime in. Will it rub? Are the Moog ball joints worth the money? Will I still hear that god *$^%& ed rattle after I put the new carpet in? ;)

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

need to know the width nnow, since we know diameter, offset and tire size.

btw, those look like knockoffs of my wheels.

    knockoffs of what?
My Jetta had BBS RXII's but I didn't want to spend that kind of money again on wheels for a car I drive every day in NY.

Dude take it easy he isn't saying it in a despective way, they are similar to Reelax Volks, look at them in his garage, BTW they look awesome, You need to have your fenders roll/cut.

17x8+35 w/ 215/45r17 lowered on TEIN (STech's?) should fit fine w/ no rub, you might possibly have to roll the rear fenders. if you you camber correct after the drop, then u will most likely have to roll the rear fenders.

look at the wheel faces and the location of the pierce bolts on the VOLK's and the fake ones on the ASA. the ASA wheel doesn't even need pierce bolts since it is one piece cast. of course they couldn't recreate VOLK's exposed mounting flange behind the spokes (signature VOLK) and the full reverse lip (forged).

    edit:

actually they are an even closer copy of the BBS RS-GT:

the BBS doesn't have the full reverse lip or the exposed mounting flange of the VOLK's, plus the valve stem is located in the same place as the ASA.

trust me, i'm not mad... i used to roll KONIG MONSOON's and they were knockoffs of VOLK RACING AV-3's.
