Yeah the white one is the best out of the bunch. Its very classy looking. Thanks Fresh! I got some more done on her today. I am trying to bring her back to life little by little. I cleaned, waxed and buffed all around the last few days. When I bought the car the paint was really dull, but I think I have managed to restore some of the original shine. It will do until I can get a paint job. I am on a mission now to replace the antenna assembly, stereo, and repair the rust damage. I'm not sure if its something I can do on my own, but I have a feeling the body shop will charge me more than what I paid for the car! I also have been looking at a set of jdm headlights on ebay. Can anyone give me an estimate on about how much that rust spot on the back would cost? I have one on each side.

Just drove down to two different shops to get quotes on how much it will cost to repair he rusted areas on the car. The first shop quoted me $1750, and the other shop quoted me $1000. The $1000 is more in line with what I was expecting. The shop that said $1750 actually originally quoted me $2000.

can you do your own body work, and have them just paint?

  9. #29
I wish I could, but the rust is so bad that it needs to be cut out and replaced by new sheet metal. I have no idea how to do that kind of stuff. I would love to learn, but at this time I dont have access to the tools needed or someone to even teach me.

Thanks guys. Anyone know if the heat mat on the hood can be replaced? This one is pretty much dead. Its falling apart at this point. I have not been able to find a replacement for this car.
