    Cold Air Intake Build

After my I found out my MAF is messed up I decided to build CAI with a new MAF. Ill post progress and I'll make sort of HOW TO with pictures. Whole project wouldn't happen without MKO :) I ordered parts on Ebay and bought new MAF from MKO. I hope to get all my parts this week and then next week which is my Spring Break I will put it on my G.

I got my first part today ;) MAF Adapter

I didn't say anything about power gains or anything , I had messed up MAF for a while and my car ran like shit so getting new MAF and putting CAI makes difference anyway , also i saw people asking questions about intakes for 7G before so I thought it might be useful for some people.

It doesnt matter what section he's in.. Sadly he is correct.. There is really no point to it... Now if you were to put a turbo on and then run a cai from there that would be alot beter!!! It doesnt matter what Gen G you have alot of people on here have a great general knowlege of performance mods... along with different gen G's....

dont discourage the guy. if he wants to do it, let him do it. Itll be a lot cheaper than 250-300 dollar injens that the 8g-ers buy. Maybe not nearly as much power as turbo but its a step forward
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

Turbo would be great , but thats huge project and a lot of money involved. This galant is my daily car and I dont have place for project like that neither the money. CAI is a project that I wanna do and I saw people asking on how to do custom SRI o CAI on 7G so I decided to share my progress in here.

I wasnt trying to down the guy for working on his car and doing mods. Honestly though your next mod should be the 1g 60mm throttle body. It WILL go nicely with that cold air intake. Good luck man. If you cut the pipes just make sure you clean the shit out of them before you install them on the car or all of those shavings will wind back up in the motor. Even if you dont cut them then still clean the inside of them. When i got my fmic and piping kit there were some shavings inside of the piping for both my kit and the kit i got for my gf's 2g.

Why is this considered a build? Pointless thread is pointless.

You can talk directly to me, but I actually utilize the 'New Posts' button, it's helpful to catch up on every section. I hope you do realize 8Gs are just as entitled to an opinion on the 7G boards and vice versa.

Anyways, have fun "building" your Galant, CAIs are worth like 30 whp right?
