    RPW vs OBX

    Yes another OBX thread..

I'm wondering..Wouldn't the OBX ebay ones perform better then the RPW considering the OBX get rid of the flange and just weld straight pipe where the cali spec cat is? whilest the RPW street design one has the flange there to connect..

Just looking at price difference between design

    http://www.rpw.com.au/shop/index.php...hk=1&Itemid=31

Hard to tell if it stops rite at the bottom of the cat...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-R...Q5fAccessories

I'm looking toward the RPW's but that's the only thing i'm considering in relation to airflow

I've never messed with anything from OBX, so I can't help you at all there. But I do have a set of RPW headers for my V6, and can say they are a great quality set of headers. The flanges are beefy, the welds look great, and the piping feels nice and solid.

Tom. ill get some pix of my set up, I have the OBX Racing headers and after that straight pipe and it sounds great. I had it for about a good 2 years already and still no problem, usually OBX is fine when it comes to making headers and piping and the welding is very nice. Its when they make turbos, and coil packs where they go wrong.

perfect...i'm just wondering mainly tho if the airflow would make a difference considering the OBX ones are straight pipe welded together to the OBX flex piece whereas the RPW ones bolt onto the stock flex piece

    also..this is for the 4g64

Ok here are some pix I took...its alil dirty cuz I have not cleaned anything yet but hopefully these are good pix. Like I said before I had the OBX Racing headers for about 2 years now and still don't have a problem...car runs great and sounds awesome. My set up here is OBX headers 4:2:1/w high flow cat after all custom straight piping 2.75''

    looks good.

any difference from a 4:2:1 or a 4:1 setup, or it doesnt really matter?

I'm saving up for a OBX headers. Quick question. If you change the headers to a OBX will you get a check engine light?

As far as brand versus brand, you won't notice a big performance difference. Your car might be a slither faster, but it won't be noticeable like NOS on a scooter.
